My main passion within graphic design i have to say is vector art; attention to detail, sharp colours and precise shapes i feel are key to its vibrant style, and this is why i am drawn to it so intently, silhouetted artwork is probably my favourite, and i don't use any set pieces off websites, i always create my own so i know its my work and not someones else's. I also really like typography, as is evident in some of my submitted works, creating shapes and pictures within the words i feel is fascinating and the limitless possibilities that can be created is one of the reasons why i love using this style within my graphic work. Most of these submitted pieces have been created using illustrator, but i also enjoy using photoshop just as much, alot of the time i use a combination of the two to increase the capabilities of both programs. About myself? well i enjoy photography and graphic design combined, as most of my works are usually a combination of these two mediums, i enjoy taking my camera and trying to find objects, buildings, people, places and pretty much anything i can use for my graphic design, and after a day of photography either in the city or out in the countryside there's nothing better than sitting down with a fresh archive of new photographs to create new works with. I enjoy working on pieces in my spare time; on personal projects or just for a laugh. I'm interested in this graphic design course because i still want to expand my creative abilities and improve my understanding of non computer based graphics, as i would like to be able to include these techniques in my work, plus having access to the group critique and tutor workshops that can advance and develop ideas, techniques and skills.
